With a massive children’s museum, a pedestrian-friendly riverfront, and (free!) electric shuttle buses taking tourists around town, Chattanooga has a lot to offer families with young children. After years of living in London, frequent guest blogger Jill Martin Wrenn loves exploring around her home base of Atlanta. So when she wanted a family-friendly weekend getaway within a two-hour drive from her home in Atlanta, they headed to Chattanooga.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is a wonderful place to visit any time, but attending a party there afterhours on World Malbec Day was truly special. On April 17, Wines of Argentina celebrated World Malbec Day with a walk-around tasting at the Charles Engelhard Court in the American Wing of the Museum. Not only was the setting spectacular, but there were tango dancers and live music. The Argentines know how to throw a party!

Summer is almost here, so grab your raincoats and sweaters… Wait, what?! Yes, it’s the start of Alaska cruise season and you will need good outerwear if you want to see the breathtaking glaciers and adorable sled dogs. Alaska is an incredible destination best seen by a combination of land and sea (and a combination of raincoat and sweater), and I was lucky enough to experience it on a Princess cruisetour.

Tivoli, the fairytale amusement park in the center of Copenhagen, certainly isn’t Disney World. It’s not even Disneyland Paris. It’s decidedly old fashioned and Old World. This is the Copenhagen of Hans Christian Andersen, not Arne Jacobsen. And that’s what makes it ooze with charm.
