Last week, I wrote that Google, the new-ish owner of Frommer’s, had stopped publishing the guide books. I also wrote about how much I value physical guide books, the kind that made of paper. (I used Frommer’s Seville Day By Day on my trip to Spain.) With the exception of Canada, I’ve never traveled to a foreign country without at least one guide book. Well, one of those have since changed, and it’s not my love of guide books. Google sold back Frommers to 83-year-old Arthur Frommer! The revival of a major travel brand is great news for all travel enthusiasts, whether they use guidebooks or not. Long Live Frommer’s Guide Books!
