The kiddie pool at Terre Blanche, a five-star luxury resort in Provence, has to be the best kiddie pool in the world. No, I haven’t been to them all but I don’t see how there could be better one in existence. First, you’ve got the incomparable Provencal setting. But beyond that, look at how beautifully this French pool has been constructed with its trio of fountains and mosaic-tiled bottom. And then, it’s quite shallow, which puts parents at ease and makes toddlers feel tough. It’s no wonder that my son — and I — absolutely loved this pool.
Provence can seem like DisneyWorld… for Francophile adults who love culture, scenery and food. For a toddler not so much. Until we checked into Terre Blanche and brought him to the kiddie pool. Then it turned out that he was, in fact, a huge fan of Provence! It had been hard to tear ourselves away from the beaches of Antibes, but once we ensconced in the luxury of Terre Blanche we were berating ourselves for not arriving earlier in the day. At least we still had time for a swim that first day.
Amazing poolside views at Terre Blanche — in the distance is the little Provencal town of Fayence, France.
Our stay at Terre Blanche was truly the “vacation” part of the vacation. Especially for our toddler, whom we could barely get out of the pool. I wanted him to swim with me in the adult pool, which also welcomes children. But he wanted to be in the “little pool.” Naturally, he won most of the time but at least I got to look at the stunning scenery while I was watching him. You can even see two perched Provencal villages, Seillans and Fayence, nestled in the mountains.
Needless to say, we had an amazing stay at Terre Blanche. Stay tuned to learn about the food, golf, rooms and spa. Oh, and all about the grown-up pool too!
Comped but Never Compromised: I received a complimentary stay at Terre Blanche but I am free to write whatever I want.

That’s a very nice pool. An outdoor pool is one of the view things I’ll pay extra for when traveling.

What an incredible view to have, can’t say I’ve been in a pool for the longest time with a view as special as that.

Quite a kiddie pool. How was the adult pool? The view of the countryside and Fayence are just amazing from there.
