The Smallest House in Great Britain happens to be in Conwy, Wales. So what’s the largest house in Conwy? Conwy Castle, of course.

The Smallest House is in far better condition, but Conwy Castle is spacious and airy. Although it’s fallen into disrepair, 21 out of the 22 towers still stand tall. The castle was built between 1283 and 1289 by King Edward I, and while it was never attacked, it was pretty much stripped bare after the Civil War in the mid-1600s. It also occupies an impressive parcel of land, as it’s perched on rocky plateau overlooking the river. Conwy is a well-preserved medieval walled town (a good portion of which still exist), and it’s easy to imagine the castle in its heyday.
