KLM Mascot Bluey Stars in His Own Movie Series

KLM's Bluey now has his own movie! Last time we flew, my son held onto a little plane that was from the Disney movie “Planes.” There is something comforting about holding a plane while you are in a plane, and that’s why KLM has launched Bluey last November to appeal to its tiniest travelers. This sprightly little plane (think Thomas the Tank Engine but with Dutch pluckiness) makes flying more fun. Several Bluey products are available, ranging from keycords, trolleys and card games, to a fun Bluey meal box for children on international KLM flights. And now Bluey is starring in his own animated movie series!

I love that KLM has created this friendly plane mascot, but in my observation children are far more relaxed travelers than adults. I can be nervous flyer and I actually prefer to fly with my children for two reasons. First, I would never articulate my fears because I wouldn’t want them to embrace them. Second, they completely distract me and I don’t have to time to think, let alone worry. One our last flight, my daughter was a lap child and it was like wrestling an alligator. It was an amazing arms workout for me trying to hold onto to a squirming one-year-old. If only she had adorable Bluey to distract her. And if only I had a Bluey to distract me from it all. Check Bluey’s first film, in which he, his father and his friend Windy have an exciting adventure at the annual Zundert flower parade:
