Watching Disney’s Planes on a plane? Three hundred lucky kids can check that one off their list, thanks to a special prescreening of Planes onboard a KLM plane on October 2. The kids were excited enough to see the new Disney flick, sit in airplane seats and eat popcorn, but KLM had something even more amazing in mind. Outside the plane windows, KLM re-created the special effects, including snow and confetti. You can see how they pulled that off — and how much the kids enjoyed it — in the video below.

I’m looking forward to watching Planes with my toddler, and I think it will be the perfect movie to get him through a long flight. (Note to self: download it onto to the iPad when it comes out.) While he’ll still get the experience of watching Planes on a plane, it certainly won’t be anything like the spectacular show that these lucky kids got!
