Recently, I spoke on this topic at a ReviewPro webinar entitled “How to Leverage Social Media for Public Relations.” ReviewPro offers a set of tools that help hotels manage their online reputations, from monitoring online reviews to social media conversations. I explained what makes someone a social media influencer and how brands can find social media influencers by using free Twitter tools like Twiangulate and by following the Travel Blogger Interest List on Facebook. I also talked about the best ways to vet these influencers (how much clout should you give to Klout?) and offered hoteliers tips for engaging social media influencers on a regular basis.
