There’s a new viral video on YouTube that gives you a very quick tour of the U.S. This guy walks across America (NYC to San Francisco) in under two minutes, rarely pausing except to admire the Lincoln Monument and Mt. Rushmore. OK, so maybe it’s a stealth ad for Levi, but it’s still pretty cool. I wish Levi would do this for more countries — I like the quick tour idea!
You can see his actual route on this Google Map, in case you can’t discern every town and city in the video. The route isn’t straight across — it starts in New York City, dips down to Washington, DC, heads north to South Dakota as its northernmost point and then south to Las Vegas, finally stopping in San Francisco. And there are lots of stops in between.
I also enjoyed this behind-the-scenes video about how they made the Guy Walks Across America video with stop-motion photography and time-lapse techniqiues.

Glad to see he changed his t-shirt a few times – I can see a whole series of Matt dancing style follow-ups – and at what point did he run with the bulls?
Someone did a similar video across China. I love this style of travel vid. You get such a sense of distance and expanse in just a few minutes.
Awesome video! I love the stop-motion photography thing. And the list in his pocket at the end is a nice touch, perhaps its hinting at some sequels?

This is really well done! It makes me want to keep replaying it to pick up more details.
Bryan brought up a good point about sequels — the list in the pocket could certainly be a hint.
Thanks for posting.
Couldn’t believe our little tiny Colorado town was in this video. Problem- if he was going East to West he was going the wrong direction in our town.
