 More Totem Poles in Vancouver...

I discovered my love of totem poles in Ketchikan, Alaska, the third stop on my Coral Princess cruise through Alaska. I wasn’t expecting to see any more anywhere else, unless I went to NYC’s Museum of Natural History. But then we disembarked from the ship in Vancouver and I took a tour, in which the first stop was Stanley Park. We got out of the bus right where the totem poles are — I didn’t even realize that Vancouver had totem poles! I also was impressed by the Native Art galleries I saw throughout city and even the Native Art I saw at the airport.

Right near the totem poles is Stanley Park’s Seawall (pictured below), which is a 5.5. mile loop for biking, running, etc. You don’t have to spend long in Vancouver to become envious of all the great outdoor opportunities that locals enjoy right within the city.

Comped but never compromised: I’m on an Alaska Twitter Press Trip with Princess Cruises, but I’m free to write whatever I want.
