The 14th Edition of the Anywhere, Everywhere Travel Blog Carnival

Welcome to the 14th edition of the Anywhere, Everywhere Travel Blog Carnival. The carnival takes place once a month and features some of the best travel writing and photography on the web. As usual, I received tons of great submissions; here are my favorites.

Felicity Campbell presents Real Medellin – Barrio of Santo Domingo posted at Thinking Nomads. As Colombia has emerged as one of the hottest destinations around, I was intrigued to learn more about it.

Robin Locker presents The Turtle Farm at Boatswain’s Beach posted at My Melange. Friends of mine who frequent Cayman are mad at me for not going to the turtle farm when I was there in December, so I enjoyed reading Robin’s account of it.

Nancy D. Brown presents A Horseback Riding Vacation at Holkan Kingdom, Cancun, Mexico posted at Writing Horseback. What a great way to get out of the touristy area and into the jungle!

Justin Schmid presents Wandering Justin.com » Blog Archive » 6 Impressions of Boston – Plus 3 Great Restaurants posted at Wandering Justin.com. These restaurant recs sound pretty solid.

Jim & Martha presents First Slice of Pizza in Italy posted at Wanderlust Journey. You always remember your first!

Tim Leffel presents How the Travel Dollar Fared Last Year posted at Cheapest Destinations Blog. He offers an interesting and useful analysis.

20stravel presents More Strange and Beautiful Iceland Pictures posted at Twenty-Something Travel. The colors in these photos are amazing!

Sheila Scarborough presents Not your ordinary truck stop: Willie’s Place at Carl’s Corner posted at Perceptive Travel Blog. Who wouldn’t like a truck stop with BioWillie fuel, a cafe, a DJ broadcasting onsite and lots of Willie Nelson?!

Mary T presents Hawaii’s Big Island Top 10 Adventures posted at Travel With Teens and Tweens. I did several of these when I went to the Big Island for my honeymoon.

Reesan presents The Kyoto Protocol posted at loneleeplanet. In this case, the “protocol” is what you must see in Kyoto.

Watch Me Eat presents New York Winter Adventure posted at Watch Me Eat. As a New Yorker, I enjoyed his account of visiting Rockefeller Center and eating street food.

Steve Chasey presents South Bank of the Thames posted at S&S Travel the Long Way Round. He and his wife are gearing up for a 6-month around-the-world trip, and just got back from the UK.

Zhu presents Patagonia – Punta Arenas posted at Correr Es Mi Destino . Great photos of a part of Chile where few get to venture.

Jason presents Choosing our Travel Backpacks posted at on the way to somewhere. Here’s some good advice if you’re in the market for a well-fitting backpack.

Thanks so much to everyone who participated! Would you like to see your travel-related blog post in the next edition of Travelogged.com’s Anywhere, Everywhere Travel Carnival? If so, please submit your post here by February 14th. The next edition will be posted on Monday, February 15th.
