The Lucky 13th Edition of the Anywhere, Everywhere Travel Blog Carnival

Welcome to the Lucky 13th edition of the Anywhere, Everywhere Travel Blog Carnival. The carnival takes place once a month and features some of the best travel writing and photography on the web. As usual, I received tons of great submissions; here are my favorites.

Caitlin presents Video: Turtle hatchling on Heron Island posted at Roaming Tales. I would love to see a turtle hatch, as Caitlin did at Wilson Island at Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

Got Passport (Aye) presents How @GotPassport Got Their Itchy Feet to Travel & See the World posted at Got Passport, Will Travel!. It’s great to learn how some of my favorite travel bloggers got started.

Mary Ann Grisham presents Top 10 Tips for Train Travel in France posted at Enchanted Traveler. Excellent advice — I love French trains!

Rosalind Cummings-Yeates presents Pretty in Pink posted at Farsighted Fly Girl. Here, she takes us to beautiful Eleuthera in the Bahamas, where there is no shortage of pink.

Keith Kellett presents Cooking in Carcassonne posted at Travelrat’s Travels. Fun piece from a guy who doesn’t fancy himself as much of a cook.

TheWordWire presents Photo Friday: Twilight Not the Only Highlight of Forks, WA posted at Gorgeous photos!

Claudine presents Food in South Korea posted at Korea-Diva. Here’s a nice rundown of some popular dishes.

Steve Chasey presents Toronto. Gray, dismal, and packed with hidden treasures. posted at S&S Travel the Long Way Round. There’s an interesting twist at the end of the post!

Nan presents The Area Around Humayun’s Tomb posted at Cold SnapDragon. This is an interesting piece about an Indian monument.

Jeet presents Trip to Devarayanadurga, Namada Chilume, Sri Veerbhadra Shankara Swamy Temple, Siddaganga Temple and Tumkur posted at TravelingBeats. The cosmopolitan city of Bangalore can be a base to many outings like Devarayanadurga, which has great views.

Marius presents Mini Europe Parc Within Bruparck in Brussels posted at Life in Luxembourg. Cool photos!

Abi King presents Soothing Souls – The Legacy of Salts Mill posted at Inside the Travel Lab. This is a very informative piece about a historical attraction in Yorkshire.

Nancy D. Brown presents Princess Cruises Crown Princess – Day at Sea posted at What a Trip. She offers great insight as to what it’s actually like to be on one of those huge cruise ships.

Thanks so much to everyone who participated! Would you like to see your travel-related blog post in the next edition of’s Anywhere, Everywhere Travel Carnival? If so, please submit your post here by January 17th. The next edition will be posted on Monday, January 18th.
