Packing for a Trip to Grand Cayman

It’s cool and rainy tonight in NYC, but I’m digging out my shorts and bathing suits. That’s because I’m leaving tomorrow morning on a press trip to Grand Cayman island. I’m really excited for it. Not only because I love Caribbean islands (which I do), but because I’ll be attending the Cayman Jazz Fest!

This is not my first visit to Cayman; 10 years ago I was there for about six hours. It was a stop on a week-long Carnival cruise. What I remember most is that there is this little town named Hell. It’s a barren place with black limestone formations that has its own post office so you can send people a postcard from Hell. (And yes, I did do that.) What I remember second best is Seven Mile Beach, and I’m hoping to put in some quality time on that gorgeous stretch on sand.

Make sure you swim with the sting rays – it is an amazing experience. Have an absolutely wonderful time. I’m looking forward to reading about the trip.
