The 12th Edition of the Anywhere, Everywhere Travel Blog Carnival

Welcome to the 12th edition of the Anywhere, Everywhere Travel Blog Carnival. The carnival takes place once a month and features some of the best travel writing and photography on the web. As usual, I received lots of great submissions; here are my favorites.

Audrey presents Fawlty Tours: 7 Games Tour Companies Play posted at Uncornered Market. This is a great piece that anyone who enjoys excursions should read.

Aye presents RAJ GHT? Resting Place of Mahatma Gandhi posted at Got Passport, Will Travel; Got Passport, We’ll Serve. Aye’s photos of the 60th anniversary remembrance ceremonies are beautiful.

Andy Hayes presents Chocolate (Travel) Bliss posted at Sharing Travel Experiences. This delicious list of top chocolate destinations would make a great itinerary.

Nancy D. Brown presents Garifuna Dancers of Roatan, Honduras posted at What a Trip. On a recent trip, Nancy had the pleasure of visiting with local villagers and watching the women and men dance their traditional dances that have been handed down for generations.

Melissa Shales presents Kenya Time – on the Jambo Express DeLux posted at Steel Safari. Melissa is traveling through Africa by train, and this is but a small segment of her adventure.

Don Nadeau presents An Alternative to Expensive NYC Hotels on Weekends posted at BidonTravel Blog. Don explains why you should consider staying in Lower Manhattan on a weekend if you’re on a budget.

Katie Sorene presents 13 Most Awkward Family Vacation Pics posted at Tripbase. You better hope that you don’t show up in any of these!

Donna Hull presents Hiking with History on Kodiak Island posted at My Itchy Travel Feet. Here’s a great guide to the Alaskan island.

Psych Syke presents Ball at Playa Bonita Resort & Spa in Panama posted at Panama-aah. This an interesting review about a popular Panama hotel.

Seth C. Burgess presents Virginian’s Experience at Chimney Bluffs posted at Wayne County Life. I’m a fan of NY’s Finger Lakes region, but I’ve never heard of this before.

Apryl Chapman Thomas presents Exploring the Gems of Rural Southwest Alabama posted at Planet Eye Traveler Road Trips. This is a nice travelogue about a place I know little about.

Kristie presents The Cable Car Ride In San Fransisco posted at Culture Shock. Her video clip is a nice touch.

Jack Norell presents Wookey Hole Caves, England posted at Eyeflare Travel Articles and Tips. He says that this quirky attraction is well worth a visit.

Mark presents 2009 – Highlights of the Year So Far posted at MarksTravelNotes.com. Mark has had a pretty good year that includes Tibet.

Bob Berwyn presents The Berlin Wall and Cold War memories posted at 1 world images. In this thoughtful piece, he writes about traveling along the Danube to find the spot where his dad escaped the Iron Curtain.

Amy @ The Q Family presents Disney’s Animal Kingdom: The Condensed Version posted at The Q Family Adventures Travel Blog. Here are some great tips if you’re a planning a trip yourself.

Devin Licastro presents The Most Adventurous Day of My Life posted at Travel To Grow – Personal Development Through Travel. His adventurous day in Thailand included cliff jumping and a trip to Monkey Island, which sounds like my kind of place.

Kilroy_60 presents Happy New Year! posted at Fear And Loathing – The Gonzo Papers. Here he describes the peaceful sanctuary of his home in Costa Rica.

Suzane Smith presents 20 Must-Visit Art Museums You Never Heard Of posted Top Online Engineering Degree. As a museum-lover, I really enjoyed this list.

Thanks so much to everyone who participated! Would you like to see your travel-related blog post in the next edition of Travelogged.com’s Anywhere, Everywhere Travel Carnival? If so, submit your post here by December 20th. The next edition will be posted on Monday, December 21st.
