Welcome to the 12th edition of the Anywhere, Everywhere Travel Blog Carnival. The carnival takes place once a month and features some of the best travel writing and photography on the web. As usual, I received lots of great submissions; here are my favorites.
Aye presents RAJ GHT? Resting Place of Mahatma Gandhi posted at Got Passport, Will Travel; Got Passport, We’ll Serve. Aye’s photos of the 60th anniversary remembrance ceremonies are beautiful.
Nancy D. Brown presents Garifuna Dancers of Roatan, Honduras posted at What a Trip. On a recent trip, Nancy had the pleasure of visiting with local villagers and watching the women and men dance their traditional dances that have been handed down for generations.
Don Nadeau presents An Alternative to Expensive NYC Hotels on Weekends posted at BidonTravel Blog. Don explains why you should consider staying in Lower Manhattan on a weekend if you’re on a budget.
Bob Berwyn presents The Berlin Wall and Cold War memories posted at 1 world images. In this thoughtful piece, he writes about traveling along the Danube to find the spot where his dad escaped the Iron Curtain.
Devin Licastro presents The Most Adventurous Day of My Life posted at Travel To Grow – Personal Development Through Travel. His adventurous day in Thailand included cliff jumping and a trip to Monkey Island, which sounds like my kind of place.
Thanks so much to everyone who participated! Would you like to see your travel-related blog post in the next edition of Travelogged.com’s Anywhere, Everywhere Travel Carnival? If so, submit your post here by December 20th. The next edition will be posted on Monday, December 21st.
