I'm a big fan of the 36 Hours column in the New York Times Sunday Travel section. Usually I like to read it to learn what there is to do, hour-by-hour, in cities that I'm interested in visiting. But I also enjoy reading the column when it covers a city that I know well because I'm curious to see how well they captured the place. Yesterday was 36 Hours in Richmond, VA and I was glad that my friend Burke, who has lived there in the past five years, assured me that they did a good job. if that story doesn't want to make you go to Richmond, then perhaps this humorous video, which has been making the rounds on You Tube, will. And unlike the "Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video" , this is one clip the CVB probably won't mind you seeing.
