The 7th Edition of the Anywhere, Everywhere Travel Blog Carnival

Welcome to the seventh edition of the Anywhere, Everywhere Travel Blog Carnival. Usually, this carnival is every other week, but I skipped the one I was supposed to do two weeks ago because I was traveling and had limited internet access. But I’m back on track now with lots of great submissions to share with you.

Katie Sorene presents How to Get Stuff for Free Wherever You Go! posted at Tripbase. Here are some great tips that will probably get you at least one freebie on your next trip.

Andy Hayes presents The Truth About Dubai posted at Sharing Experiences. This is a great guide to Dubai, a place that I really want to visit.

Marjorie Morgan presents Disappearing Tarn posted at GO! Girls Outdoors. Tarn is about a magical little Tasmanian lake that rarely appears, unless it rains consistently for a long time, that Marjorie was lucky enough to see a few of weeks ago.

Henry presents Three Hours in Los Feliz – Part I posted at Finding Freedom. Here’s a useful guide to an intriguing neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Amy @ The Q Family presents 13 Things to Do in Asheville with Kids posted at The Q Family Adventures Travel Blog. These are some excellent suggestions for the North Carolina resort town.

Roy Jones presents Panama & San Blas Islands posted at Roy Jones – Travel | Writing | Photography. It’s a nice piece with plenty of photographs depicting a boat ride from Cartagena, Colombia, to the San Blas Islands of Panama.

Katie presents Griffith Park Observatory – Los Angeles, CA posted at OC Mom’s Activity Guide. She and her family really enjoyed the outing, particularly the planetarium show.

Mick Hart presents Visiting Rome In A Day – Is That Really Possible? posted at Globe Cheap Travel. This is a pretty good plan if you only have one day, but if possible try to allow more time than that!

Iain Manley presents Anshun: City of Smooth Living and the Mighty Waterfall posted at Holiday Fu: Like Kungfu for Holidays. It’s a comprehensive guide written by a Peace Corps volunteer
to a little-visited city in the southwest of China.

Sherry Ott presents Durian – The King of Fruits posted at Ottsworld: Corporate America Runaway. I don’t think I would be brave enough for this notoriously polarizing fruit!

Nac Can presents Atlantis Resort Review: An Amazing Find posted at Nacs Norwegian Jewel Blog. This is a detailed review of the Bahamas mega-resort, whose commercials I love.

Shannon OD presents A Little Biking: Sights and Smells of the Tuscan Countryside posted at A Little Adrift. It turns out that Shannon and I were in Tuscany right around the same time — small world!

Madeleine Begun Kane presents Airing My Airline Gripes posted at Mad Kane’s Humor Blog. Here’s a funny limerick about flying.

Thanks so much to everyone who participated! Would you like to see your travel-related blog post in the next edition of’s Anywhere, Everywhere Travel Carnival? If so, submit your post here by August 16th. The next edition will be posted on Monday, August 17th.
