So, I’m still in Costa Rica — and still loving it. But in the blog world I am over at Brian Peters‘ NoDebtWorldTravel.com talking about a road trip I took with some friends to Montreal this past fall. (As you may remember, I interviewed Brian all about his awesome four-month trip around the world that he took without accumulating any debt, hence the name of his blog.) On his blog, I wrote about planning my weekend trip to Montreal and then what we did when we actually went there. You can read part one here and part two here.
One of the unexpected highlights of the trip was seeing the Magic of Lanterns exhibit at the Montreal Botanical Gardens. Every fall for the past 16 years, there has been a show of hand-sewn, silk lanterns crafted in China. This year’s theme focused Chinese performance arts. Below are photos I took of just some of the 1,000 lanterns displayed.
