On a warm-ish sunny day in Barcelona, the best way to appreciate Antoni Gaudi‘s work is definitely to head to Parc Guell. But if the weather isn’t cooperating for a stroll around acres of Gaudi structures and mosaics, you might want to consider visiting Casa Batllo instead. Located on the Passeig de Gracia (which has excellent upscale shopping), Casa Battlo was a private home remodeled by Gaudi. Both the interior and exterior are extremely detailed with lively colors and organic shapes, in the way that only Gaudi can do. The Casa Battlo rooftop is spectacular but fairly small, so if it’s cold or rainy you can walk around quickly and see everything.

Thanks for slideshow! Is the Casa Amatler next door still covered up?
