When my friend Nancy heard that I was going to Key West, she told me not to skip The Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory. Nancy, who writes the crafty blog Belle Epoque, is a great traveler so I knew I needed to include it in my itinerary. Well, the conservatory did not disappoint — the setting was a beautiful indoor (and quite warm) garden filled with tons of beautiful butterflies flitting about. It’s quite an experience to be surrounded by colorful butterflies, which sometimes even land right on you. Photographing the butterflies was a quite a challenge because they don’t like to stay still, but I managed to find some that needed to take a brief rest.
